It’s Mental Health Awareness Week 💛 & with the theme being movement this year, the team at The Positive Planner wanted to touch on movement not having to be overwhelming. Movement can, in fact, come in any of the simplest forms...

Here is what movement means to our co-founder @ali_mcdowall_coaching:

“Discovering Yin Yoga at Soul Circus last year was a game-changer for me! Since then I have had the pleasure of practicing with @evva_sem at @well.bath and it has taught me the beauty of stillness, even though it’s not always easy for me. But there’s something special about slowing down, moving gently between poses, and letting go of distractions. Now, it’s become my go-to for unwinding in the evenings, surrounded by blankets and pillows. It’s amazing how it calms both my mind and muscles. I have also enjoyed reading about it in Sarah Robinson’s (@yogaforwitches )book ‘Yin Magic- How to be still’ if you are wanting to find out more about it. I can wholeheartedly say that if you need a break from a busy brain, give Yin Yoga a try—I really love the simplicity and mental clarity it gives me! Sometimes less really is more.”
